Cosmetic Dentistry

At Barounis Dental, we want you to love your smile. From veneers to porcelain crowns to whitening treatments, we work with you to create customized treatment plans that help you accomplish your cosmetic dentistry goals and achieve a smile you are proud to show the world!

Veneers

If you have discolored teeth or other dental concerns, including gaps, damaged or crooked teeth, we might recommend veneers as a permanent solution that can help restore the look of your smile. Veneers are a thin shell of porcelain or resin composite that is custom-designed and bonded to the front of a tooth. Veneers can give you a more beautiful smile by covering up one (or more teeth) that are flawed.

Veneer Treatment

Veneer treatment requires little or no oral anesthesia and takes just two office visits. At the first visit, we take an impression of your mouth to ensure your veneers match perfectly with the surrounding teeth.

Your dentist will then remove a small amount of the tooth’s existing enamel, allowing for a suitable surface for the veneer to adhere to permanently. You leave the office with a temporary veneer.

It can take 2-4 weeks for your permanent veneers to be created in outside lab, but the results are worth the wait. At your second visit, your dentist will remove the temporary veneer and adhere your custom veneer, revealing your beautiful new smile!

Our custom veneers are permanently bonded to your teeth. With proper dental care, we see veneers that last up to 10 years.

Veneers can be replaced if damaged or your dentist deems it necessary. To get the best results from veneer treatment, it is important to keep up with bi-annual oral heath visits and a regular home dental care routine.

Porcelain Crowns

Crowns are tooth-shaped caps which are placed over an original tooth. Our custom porcelain crowns restore the shape, size, and appearance of the tooth it covers while maintaining the quality of your smile.

We use porcelain crowns to restore a significantly decayed or damaged tooth. Crowns can also be used to protect an existing tooth with a large fracture or significant decay, preventing further damage to the root of the tooth.

Cosmetic Porcelain Crowns

Many patients prefer porcelain crowns because of the way they blend in with their natural teeth. Our skilled dentists are able to match the shade of the crown with your existing teeth, making the crown practically unnoticeable.

With proper care and regular dental maintenance, our porcelain crowns can last for many years before needing to be replaced. In many cases, these custom crowns can last a minimum of 10 years.

KöR Whitening

Teeth whitening treatment before and after

KöR Whitening is an innovative whitening treatment that uses specially formulated hydrogen-based gels. These gels are kept refrigerated until used to maintain the potency.

KöR Whitening works by attacking stain molecules within the microstructure of the tooth itself. Over time, these stain molecules grow larger and cause noticeable tooth discoloration.

While light-based whitening systems are only effective in whitening the surface of a tooth, KöR Whitening gels penetrate the tooth to target stain molecules deep with the tooth. KöR Whitening is able to achieve impressive, long-lasting results by whitening the tooth both inside and out.

The KöR Whitening gels work with individually fitted KöR -Seal mouth trays. Worn at home, these trays are specially designed to seal the whitening gel against contamination from saliva and other fluids which can lessen effectiveness.

When protected from saliva and other fluids by KöR-Seal trays, KöR Whitening can continue to whiten your teeth for up to 10 hours per treatment. Other systems can only whiten for approximately 25-35 per treatment.

Depending on your whitening needs, different KöR Whitening options are available. All of the KöR Whitening treatment options include home whitening with refrigerated KöR gels and KöR-Seal mouth trays. For more intensive whitening, like teeth that have been discolored by tetracycline use, additional in-office KöR treatments that boost home whitening are also available.

While there are many whitening options available, we believe that Kör Whitening is the most innovative and effective whitening treatment available. We are confident you are going to love your whiter, brighter KöR smile!

Botox Cosmetic

Barounis Dental is pleased to offer Botox Cosmetic to our patients. As part of their dental training, dentists spend years studying the muscle structure of the face. This training makes dentists uniquely familiar with same maxillofacial muscles that are targeted by Botox Cosmetic.

Botox Cosmetic can be used to ease unwanted lining of the face, most commonly on the forehead and between the eyebrows (also known as “the elevens”), or as a dermal filler. Many Botox Cosmetic patients report that Botox injections done by a dentist are quicker and less painful than those administered by other healthcare professionals.

If you have been considering Botox Cosmetic, we welcome you to speak to one of our team to set up a consultation. We are sure that you will love the amazing results!

If you have been considering a cosmetic dental treatment to improve the appearance of your smile or Botox Cosmetic to smooth out some unwanted fine lines, Barounis Dental can help. Schedule your appointment at Barounis Dental in Foxborough, MA, today!
